Collecting Data using an iOS DeviceOverviewThe CowCalf iOS app can be found and installed from the Apple App Store. Search for CowCalf, and purchase and download the application to the device. The CowCalf application is designed to work with any IPad, IPod, or IPhone running iOS 4 or newer, devices running previous versions of the iOS operating system may or may not work. The Mobile CowCalf iOS application will work as either a stand-alone program, or in conjuction with the CowCalf5 Herd Record Management Program. If you will be utilizing it with CowCalf5, then the application will need internet capabilities to transfer data between the PC program and the mobile application and back again. No internet is needed to utilize the application or change/add herd data. Only one herd can be stored and accessed on the Mobile Application at once. Though multiple herds can be accessed by utilizing the internet and cloud storage. CowCalf iOS ApplicationThe CowCalf iOS application is designed to collect production field data during normal herd working activities. The application is specifically designed to collect data during Calving, Breeding, Pregnancy Checking and Weaning. Not all CowCalf5 variables are available on the mobile application.
